It is no longer news the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, was suspended by an Abuja High Court. There have been calls from members of both APC and PDP for Oshiomhole to be removed as national chairman because of the way he runs the party.
Earlier today, an Abuja High Court, under the leadership of Justice Danlami Senchi ordered Oshiomhole to immediately step down from his position as national chairman of APC, as he was being suspended. That he should stop parading himself as APC chairman, as that would be a form of impersonation, pending when the case will be heard, with the hearing scheduled for April 7th and 8th.
The Justice granted the motion because according to the court, the plaintiffs have been able to prove that Oshiomhole indeed had been suspended at his ward and local government level (Etsako West, ward 10). According to the Justice, political parties must stick with their laws and constitution, that having already been suspended at the ward and local government level, Oshiomhole can no longer parade himself as the national chairman of APC and he stands suspended
Oshiomhole, while fighting other leaders and chieftains of his own party, has also been locked in a battle with Governor Godwin Obaseki, the governor from his home state
