I continued engagements with top government officials in Germany today and met with various members of the German parliament.
Our discussions focused on job creation, skills development, food security, exploring areas to boost our state’s economy and position us as the most competitive subnational in Africa.
My delegation and I were received by the German Bundestag (Parliarment) – Committee on Economic Development and Cooperation (AWZ).
During the session, we engaged on the prospects for bilateral cooperation between Germany and Nigeria with regards to special challenges in Edo State to promote sustainable employment for young people and returnees.
We also visited the German Foreign Office, where I met with the Minister of State, German Foreign Office, Ms Katja Keul and we highlighted the need to further the potential for collaboration on regular migration for skilled workforce from Edo State and Nigeria.
