The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has approved the constitution of the Governing Council for the Edo University Uzairue.
In a statement, Secretary to Edo State Government, Osarodion Ogie, Esq., said the Council is chaired by Prof. T.O.K Audu.
Other members of council include Dr. Asue Ighodalo, Bishop G.E Dunia, Dr. Ifueko Omogui, Prof. Bob Osaze, Prof. Felix Okieimen and Prof. Ahmed Uwubamwen.
The statement reads: “The Edo State Governor, His Excellency, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has, in line with the Edo University Uzairue Law (2014) and the Edo University Uzairue Amendment Law (2016), approved the constitution of the Governing Council of the University.
“This is in furtherance of the government’s efforts to reposition all tertiary institutions in the state, transforming them into world-class institutions of higher learning.
“The Chairman and members of the Governing Council are: Prof. T.O.K Audu (Chairman); Dr. Asue Ighodalo; Bishop G.E Dunia; Dr. Ifueko Omogui; Prof. Bob Osaze; Prof. Felix Okieimen, and Prof. Ahmed Uwubamwen.”
He added, “The Council will be inaugurated on a date to be announced later.”
