The Acting Governor and Deputy Governor of Edo State, RT. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu has poured praises and goodwill messages to the executive Governor of Edo State, Gov. Godwin Obaseki to mark his 65th birthday celebration.
He writes;
“On the special day in the life of my Principal, my brother and my friend – His Excellency, Governor Godwin Obaseki
Anytime we celebrate your new age, what comes to my mind is huge.
I look at a man who’s dedicated to the growth and development of his state, at the detriment of his time, and leisure – A huge Sacrifice.
I look at a man who has sleepless nights, rummaging through his study with his pen firm in his hand as he maps out plans for the state – selfless leader.
I see a man who is full of passion for his state and his people. Despite his position, he comes down to the level of all, those around and beyond him ( sharing ideas, opinions, decision making, even spending time together to play) – epitome of humility
I see a man whose mindset has always been resetting the agenda of Edo and changing the narratives. A visionary leader!
I see a man who goes the extra mile to put in place what would be lasting for generations of this great state to benefit for years to come – not minding what the pains of today are, so long as the future is secured – if well managed by a coming group of leaders. A father figure
I see a man who sheaths his sword, bringing together everyone under one big family umbrella for a progressive reunion. Exemplary!
I see a man who values education more than thuggery, who shuns violence for peace, who builds lasting initiatives, and institutions and lays an unshakable foundation for a greater Edo – Angelic.
I see a man who goes the extra mile to place the state in the hearts of the international community, a pathway for external relationships, not just interstates, but the international community – The Pathfinder.
I can say on and on, but permit me to drop these few admirable qualities to celebrate a great man on his special day.”
Continue to live long in sound health, peace of mind and lead us to build a Greater Edo!
Congratulations sir.
