The upcoming 2023 Alaghodaro Summit in Edo State will witness Governor Godwin Obaseki’s guiding tour of various developmental projects that have significantly enhanced the well-being of Edo residents and set the State on a path of sustainable growth and development over the past seven years. This tour, titled “Ancient City Tour,” is part of the activities planned for the summit, scheduled to be held in Benin City from November 8 to November 12, 2023.
The seventh edition of the Alaghodaro Investment Summit carries the theme “The Edo Story: Creating Shared Opportunities into the Future.” Notably, it is the last edition under the leadership of Governor Godwin Obaseki.
The summit will bring together a distinguished gathering, including investors, government officials, business leaders, and key stakeholders, to shine a spotlight on and assess the impacts of government projects and programs on the people. It also aims to envision a prosperous future for Edo State.
The Planning Committee for the 2023 Alaghodaro Summit revealed that the “Ancient City Tour” is scheduled for Thursday, November 9, 2023, and will feature a showcase of the state’s developmental projects executed over the past seven years.
Among the highlighted projects are the Edo Modular Refinery in Ologbo, Ikpoba – Okha Local Government Area; Ossiomo Power Plant in Ologbo, Ikpoba – Okha LGA; Edo Production Centre in Benin City; Green Hill Farms in Ologbo, Ikpoba Okha LGA; Edo College of Nursing Sciences, Benin City; Stella Obasanjo Hospital, Benin City, and the Edo GIS Office in Benin City.
Additional projects include the Benin City Mall on Sapele Road; Golf Mews in Benin City; John Odigie Oyegun Public Service Academy in Benin City; Daisy Danjuma Women Centre in Benin City; State Civil Service Secretariat on Sapele Road; High Court Complex in Benin City, and the Industrial Court on Okada Avenue, GRA, Benin City.
The tour list also encompasses the Benin Bus Terminal at Ring Road; Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub and The Observer on Airport Road, Benin City; Tech Hub in Irhirhi, Benin City; Edo State Agriculture Hub at ADP Junction, Benin City, and the MOWAA on Exoti Street, Benin City.
These projects play a pivotal role in the state’s growth and have made a meaningful impact on the lives of its people, the statement added.
