The Edo State Government has called for a stakeholders’ meeting with residents and landlords in Ihama, Boundary and Country Home Roads area of Benin City to discuss and proffer solutions to the traffic issues, noise pollution and other social vices in their vicinities.
In a statement, Commissioner for Physical Planning, Urban and Regional Development, Isoken Omo, said the meeting was called because government is “desirous of finding a lasting solution to the issues of noise and traffic nuisance, as well as the criminal activities in Ihama, Boundary and Country Home Roads.”
She insisted that all owners and residents are expected to attend the meeting.
Omo said the meeting will hold in Hall 1 at the John Odigie Oyegun Public Service Academy, Central Road, Benin City, on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 by 12:00 noon.
She added: “The Committee set up by the Government is by this letter inviting you to a meeting to discuss the issues and proffer solutions that are mutually beneficial to all. Your presence in this meeting is invaluable as your observations and input will help the committee develop robust and implementable solutions to the issues in the target areas.”
