Governor Godwin Obaseki, through his Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mr. Adaze Emwanta, just announced that he will be building a military base for the Nigerian Army at Ehor, along the Benin-Auchi road, to curb insecurity and make the road, and by extension the entire state, safer for the people.
This is coming on the heels of the just concluded Security Drills in Ovia, with every security agency, as well as the state’s local Vigilante Network involved. That 3-week exercise flushed out kidnappers and bandits from Ovia, victims were rescued, stolen properties were recovered and hideouts were burnt down.
I sleep better knowing my Governor is committed to his oath and pledge to secure the lives and properties of Edo people when he was sworn in.
