The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin, on Thursday, December 7, 2023, will host a security summit and officially commission the Edo State Command and Control Centre (EC3).
In a statement, Kingsley Uwagbale, the Edo State Commissioner for Public Safety and Security said the summit themed, “Edo State Security Framework: Repositioning for the Future,” aims to showcase achievements and outline the future security landscape for Edo State.
According to him, “This is to inform members of m the general public that the Executive Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Mr. Godwin Obaseki will be hosting the Edo Security Summit on Thursday, December 7, 2023. As part of the Summit, His Excellency will also perform the official commissioning of the Edo State Command and Control Centre (EC3).”
Uwagbale noted, “The summit, with the theme, “Edo State Security Framework: Repositioning for the Future,” aims to showcase achievements, outline the future security landscape for Edo State, evaluate potential risks, redefine flashpoints, and establish a five-year forecast with strategies to address emerging challenges.”
He added, “The participation, insight, and expertise of all invited stakeholders are crucial to the success of the summit as it will contribute to the discourse on consolidating and improving on the achievements of the Governor Obaseki-led administration in security in Edo State.”
