He said, “Edo State is not a border State but has a huge population and attracts migrants and needs immigration services. We enjoy a cordial relationship with the service all these years.”
Obaseki continued: “The State is going into the redesigning of another master plan of the city as it has grown beyond the plans we currently have. We want to see how to deal with the reality of today. The reality is that the areas where federal agencies are occupying are ecologically challenged. We are trying to put in remedial measures to check the challenge. They are challenged by flooding, erosion, and other environmental and human factor and we need to re-plan those areas.
“We have extended our Independent Power a street to your office at Ikpoba-Hill and encourage you to apply to us so we can extend the Ossiomo Power to your office to save you purchase of petrol or diesel.
“You should support our efforts with your organization and NAPTIP to stop illegal migrants as we will continue to look for ways to collaborate where things are tough. We will look for a way to support your activities. We will continue to collaborate with you to extend your services to our people.”
He added, “I thank you for the support you continue to render, not only in terms of immigration-related matters, but security-related matters in the State.”
