Benin City, Edo State – In response to the suspension announcement dated February 5, 2025, Hon. Samson Osagie has publicly denied the allegations, stating that he has never been involved in any financial misconduct with the Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission or anyone else. He emphasized that he was not confronted with any of the said allegations before his suspension was announced.

Hon. Osagie expressed his readiness to defend himself and prove his innocence, as he is determined to clear his name and protect his reputation.
The suspensions, according to the statement, are intended to allow for a comprehensive investigation into the allegations without any hindrance. Senator Monday Okpebholo has ordered the formation of an Investigative Committee to thoroughly examine the claims and provide appropriate recommendations based on their findings. Both appointees will remain suspended until the conclusion of the investigation.
