Obaseki eulogised late Evbuomwan at his funeral service held at St. James Anglican Church in Benin City.
Obaseki said, “My friend, Dennis Osagie Evbuowman, lived a life of steadfastness, hard work, diligence and faithfulness to his core values. He was a faithful friend, very honest, truthful to himself and what he believes in. He was peace-loving.”
In his homily, the Vicar/Archdeacon of Anglican Church of Benin, Ven. Isaiah Owheruo, urged Christians on the need to live a worthy and sacrificial life in obedience to the will of God.

“There will be criticism; don’t discard all. Look at them critically as all may not be bad. Thank you for your support to the Anglican Church of Benin and other churches you have continued to support. We pray God will continue to protect, and guide you.”
Other guests at the occasion include Chief Osaro Idah, the Director General, Edo State PDP Campaign Management Council; former Edo State Head of Service (HOS), Mrs. Gladys Idahor and a PDP leader, Anselm Ojezua, amongst others.
