The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) says its operatives have arrested one Tijani Idris Oluwaseun, a self-acclaimed police officer and alleged internet fraudster.
In a statement on Saturday, the EFCC said it also apprehended 42 others for the same crime.
The commission said the cybercriminals were arrested on May 5 at Ijebu-Ode and Awa-Ijebu towns of Ogun state following actionable intelligence on their alleged fraudulent activities.
“Items recovered include eleven exotic cars, several laptops, numerous iPhones, apple wristwatches, expensive video games and golden teeth worth millions of naira worn by one of the suspects.”
The EFCC said the suspects will be charged to court as soon as the investigations are concluded.
