Benin City, January 17, 2025 — The Edo State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Jarret Tenebe, led an armed invasion of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secretariat in Airport road, in Benin City. Eyewitnesses reported that Tenebe and his armed thugs stormed the Secretariat, assaulting PDP State Chairman Anthony Aziegbemin and forcing him to flee for his life.
Videos circulating on social media show Tenebe defiantly refusing to leave the premises, leading to a heated exchange with police officers. “There is nothing on earth that will make me leave this place,” said Tenebe.
