Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has officially approved the appointments of new members to the Edo State Civil Service Commission, designating Lalla Aluyi as its Chairman. Additionally, he has appointed two individuals as Permanent Secretaries in the Edo State Public Service.
The announcements were made through two separate statements issued by Anthony Okungbowa Esq., Ph.D., the Edo State Head of Service.
Regarding the Civil Service Commission, Okungbowa stated: “We wish to inform the public that His Excellency, Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki, exercising his constitutional authority under the amended Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, has approved the following appointments as members of the Edo State Civil Service Commission: Lalla Aluyi as Chairman, Ehi Obaseki, Gilbert Adegboyega, Julie Olatunji, and Margaret Ohiowele as members.” He emphasized that these appointments are contingent upon confirmation by the Edo State House of Assembly.
In terms of the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries, Okungbowa noted: “This announcement is made to inform the public that as part of the ongoing transformation within the civil and public service of Edo State, Governor Godwin Obaseki has approved the appointments of Queeneth Orobedo and Ojo Akin-Longe as Permanent Secretaries.” He further mentioned that the date for the swearing-in ceremony for the new Permanent Secretaries will be communicated at a later time.
