The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has urged the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries to foster the spirit of collaboration so as to achieve the Making Edo Great Again (MEGA) Agenda.
The governor made the call while addressing Permanent Secretaries and other participants at the closing ceremony of the onboarding programme for the Permanent Secretaries at the John Odigie-Oyegun Public Service Academy.
Governor Obaseki who was represented by the Edo State Head of Service (HoS), Anthony Okungbowa Esq., urged the participants to put the skills they have acquired into proper use as they are required for the success of the new governance structure being implemented by the Governor Obaseki led-administration.
He noted, “We need to key into this new strategy and continue to use it in our everyday work as Permanent Secretaries to enable us to become professionals and masters of our fields. It will help us contribute meaningfully to the development and growth of the State.”
On his part, Managing Director, Edo Information Communication Technology Agency (ICTA), Mr. Goodluck Igbinedion, while speaking on the importance of the Edo e-governance (Edo-Gov) framework, said it is going to make work easy and balanced, as it will bring the best out of all the players in the system.
“It will enable you to treat files wherever you are and bring out your creativity. It will put you in the right mode to effectively and efficiently deliver services to the state,” he said.
