During and after the 2020 Edo state governorship election, people somehow found a way to bastardize and ridicule the word “MoU” as it relates to Governor Godwin Obaseki and Edo State.
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of visiting the Alcohol/Cassava Plant by Greenhills Agric products LTD at Ologbo, Ikpoba Okha, LGA. I was blown away by the progress of that project. I spoke with the manager and construction workers and they broke down the different segments of the plant: Cassava slurry, Decantation, Distillation, Fermentation, Effluent Treatment Plant ETP, CO2, Alcohol and Lagoon.
This plant will turn cassava into alcohol. Of course the economic benefits of alcohol need no explanation.
This project, together with many others like the Golf Mews, Benin Mall, ANPA etc, have been made possible through MoUs.
If Buhari had made strategic MoUs like Governor Godwin Obaseki has done and continues to do, Nigeria would be a lot better than it is today.
Since Governor Obaseki has decided not to toot his own horn, I have decided to be the chief trumpet blower.
Well done Mr. Governor. Keep making Edo great.
